I has more pictures for all of you! Family and I went down to the fish ladder to see if we could actually watch and perhaps get pictures of the Trout jumping...but it's not as nice a place to take pictures as the rapid down stream I've been photographing at.

Today parents decided to clean up the yard, I went out to help [and take pictures] but was banished back into the house because my skin burns so easily. At least I was able to help my mum rake most of the backyard, I also got some amazing pictures of these little wild flowers that grow in this area every spring.

I'm not sure what the actual name for the flower but we've always called them Blue Bells

That's more pictures than you can shake a stick at! I started a photobucket account so that I could post some videos of my cousins without them being as completely public as youtube makes them.

Though I'd like to ask has anyone else had problems copying the embeded text? I took both videos but LJ wouldn't acknowledge them, I decided to try adding < /embed > and it seems to have worked. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced that.

Anyways this took way longer than I was intending...I guess I better go back to doing whatever I was before....now what was that...

I so missed him! but he'll be here for a week which is a really nice treat! he's been practicing the guitar since a little before Easter, my uncle Mike plays a lot and lent AJ one of his electric guitars.

He's got such nice long fingers for playing too

So as I understand this evening we'll be heading out to my aunt Danielle's house so my dad can fix a problem with her sink, if I don't get out of the house before then, at least I will have once today.

now it's back to poking at my story see if I can't get one of them moving again

not sure why I'm posting these...I went down to the river yesterday with my mum it was such a beautiful day I just really wanted to get out of house for a while [may be doing that today as well]

I looked at the pictures I took when I got home, but didn't like any of them...maybe I'll feel different today? *shrugs* oh well you all can be the judge of that.

The pictures of the river that I took before were perhaps closer to the middle of the town these pictures are from closer to the mouth of the river where it reaches lake Ontario.

Edit: Thought I should explain a little better. We decided to switch from Bell to Cogeco and today is the day it happens. Unfortunately Cogeco doesn't offer routers so I will be internetless until we get a router. Which should be happening later today.

I was working on posting the pictures when the guy arrived, we had no idea when to expect him, since they only ever say between 9-5. I'd really hoped to get all the pictures that I wanted up, but that will have to wait. At least with my brother's computer hard wired to the internet I can come and fix this post so it's not so bloody long.

Lack of internet sucks....I'm not sure what my laptop is even for at the moment ^_~

I've done it again! *gasp* I made another slide show to music, yet again where I linked the pictures to what was being said. [could have sworn I said I wasn't going to do that again ^_~] But it's a lot of fun!

I did this one for my mum, she absolutely loved the Cat Macros song neekabe showed me. And with all the pictures she took of the kitties we had basically everything we needed.

Getting that pancake shot! we actually did that today, didn't take all that long either, I tried putting it on all their heads several times and it was just sheer luck that Heero remained still long enough for the picture! So happy for fast cameras ^_~

another day that I feel like I've wasted...I don't know what it would take to make me feel like it was a good day, or even just okay but I haven't found it yet. I got a little writing done today but I'm just not happy with anything I'm coming up with, which leaves me frustrated.

I hate evenings mostly because I end up not wanting to go to bed, but there's nothing I want to do to pass the time while I'm up. can't win for trying...

Josh started a game in Crisis Core I've been telling him all about it ^_^ he's been hoping that they'll make it for the PS3 which they've done for a few of these PSP games.

Been working on a Hurt/Comfort fic for Supernatural...but my brain just isn't making it easy. I'm stuck at the moment where I don't think it's worth completing. I've been getting really frustrated with it tonight, I start writing something for it, and suddenly have to go back and change a lot of it >_< I'd just really like to be able to finish it!

I went out for a walk today cashed my GST rebate and decided to stop in at my Oma's one of my aunts was visiting with her kids. and found out that my camera can zoom in and out while filming, this is something I've wanted for a long time. I'm also hoping that it's low light abilities will make filming at Animaritime easier.

I found that I have an option in macro that allows for close focus, so that's what I used for both those pictures

it can be hard to see Dodger's eyes at times since he's not a fan of looking you in the eyes, he'll actually do just about anything to avoid looking at you ^_~

today turned out to be a beautiful day, so I went out to take some pictures with me new camera. I've wanted to go down to the river for just this purpose for a long time now, I think the idea first hit when winter started, and like I've said before I hate using my camera in the cold.

we live in a valley, more to the point our house is located on one of the sides, and running through the middle [like a two minute walk from home] is the Ganaraska River



which has drawn a lot of attention to the town, for several reasons, there's the salmon run [hugely popular! not a huge fan myself if only because it makes the town smell more like fish than usual] there's also the Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny Race, which happens every year, usually one a very cold rainy weekend in April. this year the weather was surprisingly beautiful, but since I don't really care for the town or it's traditions I didn't know anything about it.

this year they no doubt had problems with the river running so high and fast, the amount of snow we got has really done this area well.

So I've been searching through my camera's options, I know that you can add 'paint' to it and 'stamps' as well but there's also effects that you can put on a picture. So I took this picture



and added each of the effects one at a time











So there they are, not sure what I'd use them for in the future, but it's neat to have them ^_~

so I was a bad kitty!

I ended up taking i_paint_the_sky's advice and didn't go out and buy a DS right away. I continued to think about it until the moment my mum came home with a small Sony digital camera, nice pocket size, excellent for taking indoor pictures. The more I thought about it the more I wanted one for Con time and just in general. It's so small easy to carry and with such a high ISO I get nice and clear low light pictures!

The one she got was on clearance and was the last one that they had outside the display model, so I couldn't get that one. This morning we went looking to see what else they might have had, and I found a slightly different model also on clearance also the last one other than display [mum and I were wondering if 'last one' is something they always say ^_~ makes you want to buy it more]

So now I will share some of the first pictures I took with the new camera, is tiny!

this is going to take a little getting used too for me, it's just about entirely touch screen and it's method of focusing is different too. But I'm quite happy with it. I know I don't have much of an 'active' live but I'm going to try for bringing this with me I like taking pictures it's size makes it very easy to bring wherever I want.

alright so I've got some time to kill, for reasons unknown to me Kate would like some pictures of my flights that I take if I'm by the window. I'm sure when she tells me why it'll be obvious but my brain hadn't been functioning right for a while now so I'll have to wait and see. All I can say right now is I take a bloody lot of pictures ^_~

Well there's some things that I've wanted to share, for starter's there's Romeo's halfhearted attempt at destroying the nativity scene we have under our tree.

He's been crazy about it since Mom set it up, sometimes just flopping down and kicking everything out of it. Once he even grabbed the hay and some how pulled it out without knocking anything over...not sure how he pulled that off.

So here's the best attempt I could actually catch on film...not great but at least it's something ^_~



So now I've got some more pictures of snow for you starrbeam I woke up this morning to this beautiful full snow clinging to everything ^_^

Last night was rather enjoyable as I decided I wanted to leave the TV on the holiday channel so I could fall asleep to Christmas carols which was really pleasant ^_~

Pretty snow, the sun's out now not sure what the temperature is like out there but the snow doesn't appear to be melting, which makes for happy feet. Though now that Christmas has passed I'd be okay no matter what weather we get ^_~

I miss my boys! but they're well looked after and Chance is doing well despite Romeo's determination to annoy him.

he's got a very handsome face! and such beautiful eyes, so large



he's got a spot! Not much fur at the moment, but that will change with time. In the evening with the lights on he looks so pink! ^_^



his introductions with the other kitties are going well so far. As well as can be expected. Romeo, was the one I thought we'd have the most trouble with, he's such a punchy little character. But all he really wants to do is play, so that's a good sign.

Dodger although interested give Chance space, and Heero and Chance are already quite comfortable with one another. I know it's going to take a while but I'm happy with what I've seen so far.

It didn't take me long at all to fall in love with Chance, I don't want to see him passed around to any more homes. And I can't see anything coming up that would make us have to send him back. Just let him take his time!
