stupid lappy! nothing I do will make the darn thing go, so I'm going to have to take it in for repairs. however this has got me thinking, and I've decided I don't like having all my information divided between two systems. the number of times I've run across a problem where I'm looking for something but it's on the other lappy has happened far too often.

so I'd like to get myself an external hard drive, and I found this one at Tiger Direct. it's more memory than I'd ever need but the price is just about too good to ignore. so I think I'll be getting it.

I'd like to have it sync with Toboe so it automatically saves whatever I save on the computer to the hard drive...I don't know if all external hard drives can do that but I saw one that talked about it.

now the only real question is, order it now or later? I don't believe this is a sale or anything. I really do love my little Toboe lappy and would be happy to use him exclusively since he doesn't have vista on him. I do still think I'll get a Mac some day, but for now it can wait.

Edit: I actually decided to go with a different slightly more expensive external hard drive. I went back to the site and looked at the costumer reviews. there were only three for the one I linked two were good the last bad. so I went back to look at this one it has 7 reviews all of them good. I think it's worth a little extra money

so Tsume is dead...

not sure what happened, Josh is convinced Chaz's need to sit on the keyboard is to blame, could be. But whatever the problem is I can't get the damn thing to finish loading. I had to do a hard shutdown so when I went to turn it back on it went through it's usual drill. when it came to the verifying files it froze, and has every time since. I don't know what if anything I can do to fix it.

for now I've just left if shut off and am seriously happy that I have Toboe here to take over. the only thing I'm mourning at the moment are the opened word files I was working on, a fic for Doctor Who and one for Supernatural...both are on the other computer...

my life sucks...

I rule the game of Crisis Core!!

I've gone up against a Magic Pot, each one you come across asks you to attack it with specific things. This time around was the hardest, at least the last one was.

- Gil Toss
- Costly Punch
- 99 999 damage [yes it's possible!]
- Octaslash [clearly the problem]

You can't make Seph's limit break come on order, it's random. However you can buy materia that ups your chances of getting a specific limit.

As it was I had to fight the Magic Pot more than ten times before I finally my Genji Shield which equipped, you get

- Barrier [half physical damage]
- MBarrier [half magical damage]
- Absorbs all Elements
- Nulls all Statuses

as you can see this is really a nice piece of equipment. I'm three memories for Cloud away from finishing my DMW and getting the Genji Armour. Oh how I love this game! !!♥!!

Oh so very bored right now >_<

I haven't had any luck these last few days with getting any writing done, I just can focus on any of it. I know I've gone through problems like this before, mostly because of new medications....Sometimes it works itself out, but it can take a while.

Several weeks back now, I screwed up my knee, you'd think if I'm still having problems with it right now that I would remember what I'd done....well I have no clue. It's not so bad that I can't walk around, it's just a serious irritant for moving around.

I pushed forward in Crisis Core, got to what I believe is one of the most important movie sequences only to find out that it's messed up. sounds off subtitles don't even remain on the screen, it's cut short.

I hoped it had just been the first time maybe a speck of dust on the disc, no such luck...it did it again right away. So I called the story that I bought it from to see if I could try another of the games to see if they would glitch in the same spot.

Yes I could make the exchange but I need the recite something I usually make a point of keeping. But apparently not this time >_< I'm so bloody pissed right now

Edit: I'm in luck, the people at EB remember me pre-ordering the game, so I can just come in and exchange, either tonight or tomorrow. Still pissed off though....but that's not surprising takes half a second to get mad...hours to go back

I has more pictures for all of you! Family and I went down to the fish ladder to see if we could actually watch and perhaps get pictures of the Trout jumping...but it's not as nice a place to take pictures as the rapid down stream I've been photographing at.

Here's Chaz being silly with my uncle, he loves to rub his head against people with stubble.

you can see the fish ladder on the left, where the people are watching. But you'd have to take the pictures from above or have decent zoom on your camera to get a good picture from the side of the river we were on.

Still being there allowed me to take some pictures of this old building I've always loved. Not sure what it was for a long time ago, or if it was just a family home. But I don't think anyone has lived there during my lifetime.

We went across town to the main street and walked back to where we'd seen fish jump before, but I had yet to get a picture of them. in this picture you can actually see the splashing trail of a fish that had just swam up the rapid [stupid thing was too lazy to jump]

this is the best shot I got of a Trout trying to swim up the river, I don't think he actually made it....

as always there were a lot of them waiting and resting, but they just never seemed to have the energy to actually make it. I think it's relatively safe to say that this is the hardest rapid for them before reaching the fish ladder.

this is a cropped picture of the one I was talking about were you can see the splash trail of a fish that made it, and right at the end of it you can actually make out a little of the fish. I like it for the trail looks pretty

Today parents decided to clean up the yard, I went out to help [and take pictures] but was banished back into the house because my skin burns so easily. At least I was able to help my mum rake most of the backyard, I also got some amazing pictures of these little wild flowers that grow in this area every spring.

I'm not sure what the actual name for the flower but we've always called them Blue Bells

They aren't very large at all really, not sure how big they look to you who haven't seen them before [if there is anyone out there like that]

Yesterday I went with my parents to Grafton so my dad could fix a sink for my aunt, I got to spend a couple hours with my cousins. Which I'm happy to say I really enjoyed!

My aunt's Devon Rex Ivan. He's usually far more illusive when we come over unlike the Cornish Rex he hides, but he was up in one of his favorite spots. The back of the computer monitor

Brooke being a goof, they're really fun kids to take pictures off, they don't get self conscious at all. And I've noticed the last few times I've gone to see them that both Bram and Brooke gravitate towards me, wanting to talk and show me things.

I admit this is something they did a long time ago too, but their approach is less annoying now ^_~ I can actually talk to them [for the most part] and seeing how Bram and I share several things in common it does make the visits more interesting

these are McFarland [thing that's the spelling] dragons that most of my cousins have been collecting. Pretty impressive detail for models that I gather don't cost all that much

She was dancing for me, and I was just so thrilled with how this picture turned out! so sharp in some areas but you can see the soft blur of movement in others, love this camera!

the kids went across the street to play with their cousins [my cousins too] I think they were playing a game called Spud. Griffin was the first out so was talking to me from the swings

Look at that smiling face. He kept asking me if I was a mummy. Because just recently he'd found out that my aunt Monica was a mummy too and was taking every opportunity to call her that, which got a little confusing for my aunt Noelle

The kids love playing DDR so I took a couple of videos of Brooke and Griffin showing me their stuff

So these last two pictures are totally unrelated to the other, but I do like to take macro pictures and I thought it was interesting how similar these new meds look. the one in the front if Prozac and the second is my new medication something called Biphentin. The pharmacy was concerned that I might get them mixed up [not so worried myself]

one more picture, just cause I like the angle and the face that you can see the camera in the reflections off the pill.

That's more pictures than you can shake a stick at! I started a photobucket account so that I could post some videos of my cousins without them being as completely public as youtube makes them.

Though I'd like to ask has anyone else had problems copying the embeded text? I took both videos but LJ wouldn't acknowledge them, I decided to try adding < /embed > and it seems to have worked. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced that.

Anyways this took way longer than I was intending...I guess I better go back to doing whatever I was before....now what was that...

Mum came home with both a new router and my older brother!

I so missed him! but he'll be here for a week which is a really nice treat! he's been practicing the guitar since a little before Easter, my uncle Mike plays a lot and lent AJ one of his electric guitars.

He's got such nice long fingers for playing too

any excuse is a good excuse to play with the camera

So as I understand this evening we'll be heading out to my aunt Danielle's house so my dad can fix a problem with her sink, if I don't get out of the house before then, at least I will have once today.

not sure why I'm posting these...I went down to the river yesterday with my mum it was such a beautiful day I just really wanted to get out of house for a while [may be doing that today as well]

I looked at the pictures I took when I got home, but didn't like any of them...maybe I'll feel different today? *shrugs* oh well you all can be the judge of that.

The pictures of the river that I took before were perhaps closer to the middle of the town these pictures are from closer to the mouth of the river where it reaches lake Ontario.

you can see the viaducts in this picture we have two clear fishing seasons Rainbow Trout in the spring and the Salmon run in the fall. People fish all year round but they can't go beyond those viaducts until certain times of the year. It'll be that time soon

You can see a CN train in this one, we've had some debate in the town as to whether or not the trains should run silent. People who have lived here all their lives aren't bothered by it. But new home owners always feel the need to complain....for the record the train whistles don't bother me, I actually kind of like them.

This picture is looking up river towards the main street, I think this was the first picture that I was really disappointed in...it was such a bright beautiful day and here this picture looks muted for some reason....

The red brick building is the town hall, but I took this picture more for the church behind it, which was visited by queen Elizabeth a long time ago, there's a sign telling the exact day but I haven't actually read it.

I can't remember when they built this, but I thought they could have found a much prettier place to put it.

This is the first picture of Cameco a nuclear refining plant, a lot of people don't like having it here especially right along side the lake. ESPECIALLY now that they're looking to start refining a more dangerous form of uranium. But I think the building looks so neat, I plan to get more pictures of it! [even though the company doesn't like that]

I decided to go down too the river for some other pictures glad I did too

there's my tree again. I think another problem I had with these pictures was my hands shaking. it has image stabilizer but there's only so much even that can do. there was also the fact that I couldn't really see the screen with the sun.

Edit: Thought I should explain a little better. We decided to switch from Bell to Cogeco and today is the day it happens. Unfortunately Cogeco doesn't offer routers so I will be internetless until we get a router. Which should be happening later today.

I was working on posting the pictures when the guy arrived, we had no idea when to expect him, since they only ever say between 9-5. I'd really hoped to get all the pictures that I wanted up, but that will have to wait. At least with my brother's computer hard wired to the internet I can come and fix this post so it's not so bloody long.

Lack of internet sucks....I'm not sure what my laptop is even for at the moment ^_~

I've come to a decision, thanks to adaon6 I've decided to get back into posting stories on Fanfiction.net. I've got quite a bit done through LJ I think it'd be nice to see if they get any response in a more public forum.

I'm not planning on posting anything that isn't completely finished, I think there'll be a lot less stress on me that way. Also I'm hoping that this will help me get back into writing on Mistaken Words I would so love to finish that story. Still don't know how I'd feel when it was done...

Not sure why I find this all so exciting, *shrugs* I went and updated my bio for FF.net I don't think I'd touched it since 06, it really needed it ^_~

Also on the writing front I have another Supernatural Hurt/Comfort fic in the works [today hasn't been the best day for writing] and a Doctor Who drabble/short fic. I'm hoping to switch between the two in an effort to keep myself writing *fingers crossed*

I'll definitely continue to post here, I feel like there's less pressure here...I'm not even sure if people read the fics I post. Which makes my LJ a nice place to play around with sillier ideas or just test something out and see if it's worth putting out there.

I've done it again! *gasp* I made another slide show to music, yet again where I linked the pictures to what was being said. [could have sworn I said I wasn't going to do that again ^_~] But it's a lot of fun!

I did this one for my mum, she absolutely loved the Cat Macros song neekabe showed me. And with all the pictures she took of the kitties we had basically everything we needed.

Proudest moment? ^_^

Getting that pancake shot! we actually did that today, didn't take all that long either, I tried putting it on all their heads several times and it was just sheer luck that Heero remained still long enough for the picture! So happy for fast cameras ^_~

so here's another drabble [what I call drabbles]

"You've been doing this for how long?" Rose asked trying without success to hold back her laughter.

"You know the answer to that," he pouted arms folded across his chest giving him the distinctive look of a sulky child.

Rose held up her hands in an attempt to placate but couldn't wipe the smile from her face. "I'm just trying to understand how this could happen yeah?" she continued wrapping the ice pack in a cloth before gently placing it on the Doctor's left ankle which was looking swollen and red.

The Doctor huffed glaring darkly at his ankle, "Even a Time Lord can trip!"

She couldn't take it any longer, Rose burst out laughing throwing her arms around his neck in a hug the Doctor didn't seem to appreciate as much as she. "But we run all the time," she giggled locking eyes with him, "What do we do now?"

He was thoughtful for a minute, the pout in his lower lip not fully disappearing, "Bananas!" he exclaimed suddenly.

Rose blinked, "What? just bananas?" she asked loving the way his eyes sparkled, "Banana bread? banana pie?"

"Everything!" he smiled brightly the disappointment of his sprained ankle completely forgotten. "Bananas are brilliant!" he cheered with that childlike enthusiasm he showed for just about everything.

*sigh*

another day that I feel like I've wasted...I don't know what it would take to make me feel like it was a good day, or even just okay but I haven't found it yet. I got a little writing done today but I'm just not happy with anything I'm coming up with, which leaves me frustrated.

I hate evenings mostly because I end up not wanting to go to bed, but there's nothing I want to do to pass the time while I'm up. can't win for trying...

this is my cousin's Cornish Rex Logan, I love the way his tail curls I've never seen another Rex do that before.

this is their other cat Kyo, he was a poor starving kitten that they took in. he's such a great cat! gets along well with Logan and is very friendly, beautiful coat too, we're pretty sure he's a Russian Blue.

Logan's pro at looking disgruntled though I don't think I've ever met a cat who wasn't

this is little James with his mommy, he twirls his hair just like my mum does, I think he's the only other member of the family who does which really surprised me.

the road that leads to my aunt's house runs next to the lake and there's this inlet where people like to come and fish.

Didn't get much done today *pouts*

Josh started a game in Crisis Core I've been telling him all about it ^_^ he's been hoping that they'll make it for the PS3 which they've done for a few of these PSP games.

Been working on a Hurt/Comfort fic for Supernatural...but my brain just isn't making it easy. I'm stuck at the moment where I don't think it's worth completing. I've been getting really frustrated with it tonight, I start writing something for it, and suddenly have to go back and change a lot of it >_< I'd just really like to be able to finish it!

I went out for a walk today cashed my GST rebate and decided to stop in at my Oma's one of my aunts was visiting with her kids. and found out that my camera can zoom in and out while filming, this is something I've wanted for a long time. I'm also hoping that it's low light abilities will make filming at Animaritime easier.

this is Griffin my aunt's youngest, I have a real soft spot for him

This is my sister's kitty Dodger, he complained his way into Chaz's bed, which is right beside me so I couldn't resist playing with the new camera again ^_~

I found that I have an option in macro that allows for close focus, so that's what I used for both those pictures

he saw the wrist strap for the camera

he was watching it so intently the whole time

he's the only kitty we have with blue eyes

it can be hard to see Dodger's eyes at times since he's not a fan of looking you in the eyes, he'll actually do just about anything to avoid looking at you ^_~

today turned out to be a beautiful day, so I went out to take some pictures with me new camera. I've wanted to go down to the river for just this purpose for a long time now, I think the idea first hit when winter started, and like I've said before I hate using my camera in the cold.

we live in a valley, more to the point our house is located on one of the sides, and running through the middle [like a two minute walk from home] is the Ganaraska River

which has drawn a lot of attention to the town, for several reasons, there's the salmon run [hugely popular! not a huge fan myself if only because it makes the town smell more like fish than usual] there's also the Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny Race, which happens every year, usually one a very cold rainy weekend in April. this year the weather was surprisingly beautiful, but since I don't really care for the town or it's traditions I didn't know anything about it.

this year they no doubt had problems with the river running so high and fast, the amount of snow we got has really done this area well.

I have no idea what this factory used to be for, it's been broken down and abandoned for as long as I've been alive. but I think it looks really cool

Um can I make this manga? [haven't really read novels since I realised they screw up my writing...I take on the characteristics of the author I'm reading at the time]

Total number of books owned:
A LOT!! I'm running out of space to keep them all...but last count was a year or two back, and that put me up of 200 I think...we're probably looking at 3-400 now ^_^

Last book bought:
Well there were actually 4 of them Fruits Basket vol 19, Wild Ones vol. 1, Godchild vol. 8, and ES [Eternal Sabbath] vol. 8

Last book read:
Fruits Basket vol. 18...I believe ^_~

hmm...this is a hard one, although I really enjoy my manga I don't know if any of them reach out an touch me the way novels used too....I might have to go way back here and actually consider some of the books a used to read...
